Course Canceled Value
This setting controls the part of the Course Flow delivered with RollCall that will automatically update child Course Enrollment, Session, and Attendance records when the course gets canceled.
Impacts:
The Status on Session and Enrollment Status on Course Enrollment IF AND ONLY IF (1) you are using the Flows delivered with RollCall AND (2) the setting Course Cancel AutoUpdates is “On.”
Default Value:
Canceled
Default Behavior without a setting:
All automations using this value will be looking for the Status field to say “Canceled.”
Behavior when setting is changed:
Identical to Default Behavior but the automations for Course Cancel AutoUpdates will use your picklist value (whatever is in the Value of the setting) instead of the default one.
Example:
Your organization may use the term “Did Not Conduct” instead of “Canceled” to indicate that a course was never taught. You would change the Course Status picklist value to reflect your local changes and change the value in this custom setting.
To use this setting, you would:
Decide which Course Status picklist value means that the course could not be taught, if it differs from the default of “Canceled”
Find the field Status on the Course object and add your custom wording or overwrite the Canceled value with your custom wording.
Update the “Value” field for this custom metadata record with the exact value of your picklist item from the Status field on the Course object.
