Custom Settings: Enrollment Create Attendance

Enrollment Create Attendance

This setting controls the part of the Course Enrollment Flow delivered with RollCall that will automatically create all child Attendance records when a Course Enrollment is set to Enrolled. This is a global setting so it will impact all courses - do not turn it off unless you have a very good reason for doing so.

Impacts:

Creation of linked Attendance records when an action is taken on the parent Course Enrolment

Default Value:

On

Default Behavior:

If you are using the Flows delivered with RollCall AND you initially set (or change)  the Enrollment Status to Enrolled (or your local version), one Attendance Record per Course Session will be created for the newly-enrolled student and the Attendance Status value will be set to Scheduled (or your local version).

Behavior when setting is changed

When the Value of this setting is Off, empty or anything other than On, linked Attendance records will not be created.

Example:

The only valid reason to turn this off is if you have a local automation that can perform the same functionality but add in customizations that you need. In short, if you know how to design a Flow that does this but adjusts to your unique circumstances, by all means turn it off; otherwise you probably want to leave this one on.

To use this setting, you would:

Update the “Value” field for this custom metadata record with: Off
