Custom Settings: Enrollment Waitlist Value
Enrollment Waitlist Value
This setting simply ensures that any rollups or automations created to include the word “Waitlist” are able to reflect your local terminology.
Impacts:
Course Enrollment record Enrollment Status field. There are currently no automations that use this picklist value, it is a placeholder for future use.
Default Value:
Wait List
Default Behavior:
Any automations or rules set up to enforce the idea of “Waitlisting” will look for or set the word “Wait List” in Enrollment Status
Behavior when setting is changed:
Identical to Default Behavior but Enrollment Status field will be set to your picklist value (whatever is in the Value of the setting) instead of the default one.
Example:
Your organization may use the term “Unable To Enroll - Waiting” instead of “Wait List” to indicate that a student could not be enrolled but would like to be when a seat opens up. You would change the Course Enrollment picklist value to reflect your local changes and change the value in this custom setting.
To use this setting, you would:
- Decide which Course Enrollment Status picklist value means that a student would like to enroll if a slot becomes available, if it differs from the words “Wait List.”
- Find the field Enrollment Status on the Course Enrollment object and add your custom wording or overwrite the Wait List value with your custom wording.
- Update the “Value” field for this custom metadata record with the exact value of your picklist item from the Status field on the Attendance object.
